Things I Love at the Moment

Well it has been a hot minute hasn’t it?  I won’t bore you with explanations, but quite simply put, I have been busy!  That said, I’m going to try to make an effort to be more proactive on the blogging front.

Anywhosit, I thought I would share a few things I have been loving over the past month or so that I’ve been neglecting my blogging duties.  Haha!  Oh, and none of these are sponsored by the way, I just wanted to share the love.

I’ve been on the wellness train for a while now, but I’ve never really delved any further than attempting a few yoga classes.  I am no expert by any means, but I am deeply fascinated by it.  Enter Saje.

Saje Peppermint Halo Headache Remedy

I did a little research on the company and the products they sold and was surprised to discover that they were Canadian!  I love supporting Canadian companies, so I decided to give it a go.  Full disclosure, they are a little bit on the pricey side, but I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products.  I picked up one of their best sellers, the Peppermint Halo headache remedy.  First of all, it smells AMAZING.  It does smell a little strong though, so I would avoid using it in crowded places or where people are scent-sensitive. To use it, you roll the roller along your hairline, temples, and down your neck and shoulders.  Within a few seconds, the areas you’ve applied it to start to get that hot/cold feeling, which I find really, really soothing.  After a few minutes, for me at least, the headache is gone!  I highly recommend this product at least to try.

Purabeada is the husband and wife team of Di and Davey Carruthers who create handmade crystal bracelets meant to help you on your mental, spiritual, or physical journey.  I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not 100% sold on crystal healing, but I do love the aesthetic, and it can’t hurt right?

My stack of Purabeada bracelets! Aren’t they pretty?

I’ve actually met Dave and Di and they are both wonderful, thoughtful people, so when I found out they were starting up a new business, there was no doubt in my mind that I would be a huge supporter.  As soon as they opened up their new Etsy store, I knew I had to get my hands on their simple, understated bracelets.  I have a rose quartz, an amazonite with lava rock (that I can infuse with essential oils), lilac jasper, green aventurine, and dyed turquoise howlite.  I love the layered bracelet look, so I tend to wear mine all at once. Anyway, you guys should check out Purabeada’s shop and show them some love.  They ship within Canada and the US.  Check them out here!

Come From Away

If you are a musical theatre buff like me, no doubt you have heard of Come From Away, the story of how the little Canadian town of Gander, Newfoundland played host to 38 planes grounded after the September 11 attack in 2001.  It’s a truly beautiful story with wonderful music, written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein (another Canadian husband and wife duo… are you sensing a theme here?).  Anyway, this soundtrack has basically been playing on repeat for the past 2 months. I’m obsessed.

Well, that’s all I’ve got to share today, but I promise I will make more of an effort on here moving forward!
